Very professional/ fast/ great customer service. Love the finished look. From quote to finish only one week. Dmitri even advised and helped find materials for another project we were working on.
I picked a tile that was a little more complex than I bargained for. Dmitri suggested that I not use grout, which had me worried because I am so used to finishes with grout. I trusted his method and the final product was stunning, to say the least. I will not hesitate to call on Tile Stars again for my next design project.
Tilestars did a fantastic job with the basement tiles. Sasha and Chris managed to complete roughly 1000sqft of tiling within 5 days. They kept to their deadline and provided me advice on how I should go about tiling the floor. Dimitri was very patient and kept in contact with me while I was deciding on different parts of the basement renovation, which took me several months to decide. He did not pressure me to go with his company, he provided me free advice and was very pleasant to deal with. Tilestars pride themselves on high level customer service, I can attest to this as they were consistently ensuring I was satisfied and happy with their work.
I'm very glad someone referred me to Tilestars. They did an excellent job tiling my kitchen floor, and they used quality materials at each step in the process. There was a hole in the floor from a previous contractor near one corner of the room, and instead of just tiling over it, they worked with me to fix the hole first. I also needed some advice about how the tile would meet up with a half-finished hardwood job, and they suggested a way to finish the hardwood, and now everything looks even better than I hoped. The tile and grout is as good as new after 6 months.
This review is long overdue. We hired Dmitri after consulting with a number of other tile setters, as we needed to re-do our entire main floor. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the way Dmitri explained things to us and since we had already done our homework we knew that he was genuine and knew his work. Dmitri also helped us in buying beautiful porcelain tiles at his cost price - which saved us quite a bit (nearly 900 sq ft). He and his crew were punctual, efficient, cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. He also came back and redid some of the tiles, since he was not too happy with it. The end result was beautiful and to this day (nearly 4 years) we get compliments on the flooring. We have recommended him to quite a few of our friends and will not hesitate to contact him if he need more work done.
All around top notch guys who provide the right combination of quality, price and service. Would not recommend anyone else for any and all of your tile projects. Definitely look forward to working again with Dmitri & Vlad in the future!!
We hired Tilestars for our fireplace project. They needed to tile the space around fireplace insert. They did an excellent job from start to finish. Everything was done on time. Vlad showed his great craftsmen's skills and he was able to listen and understand all the details what we needed for this project. We just love how the work was done and spend our time by the beautiful fireplace.
We contacted Dmitri after reviewing the great comments for his company on homestars. We updated our roman tub faucet and the plumber had to remove several tiles to work on and replace the faucet. Dmitri asked me to send him a photo so as he could provide an estimate. We agreed on the price, and he came over two days before the job was to be done so we could decide on the color of the grout. He arrived on time, completed the job to our satisfaction and you would never know the tiles had been removed in the first place. Dmitri is very polite, professional, and did not leave us a mess. I would one hundred percent recommend him to friends and family.
Part of what makes a good contractor is how they service the customer, not only when everything goes right, but also when there is a hiccup in the process. Dmitri was contracted to do some repairs on our shower floor. He sent his employee Chris to do the work. Chris was prompt and courteous while in our home. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the original work done. When I called Dmitri to report the issue, he came immediately that night. He was very apologetic and worked in an expeditious manner to rectify the problem all at his cost. I was very impressed on how he dealt with the issue. Dmitri is a true professional and truly cares that his customers are 100% satisfied. Based on his service and attitude, I would not hesitate to recommend Dmitri and Tilestars. I am already planning the next project I want them to do.
We chose TileStars to do our kitchen backsplash and two bathroom floors. Dmitri and his crew did a great job. There are always problems that arise during any renovation, no matter how big or small, and the thing I really like and respect about TileStars is you can always reach Dmitri (even on weekends!) and if there's a problem, he comes and fixes it right away and makes sure you are satisfied with the result. He also calls after the job is complete to make sure you are 100% happy with the result. You can trust that your job will get done on time, on budget, and if you need Dmitri and his crew to come back and fix something - they will be there!
I cannot say enough good things about Dmitri. He and his team did a beautiful job repairing a botched tile job in one washroom and laying tiles in another washroom. Tile Stars aims to please- Dmitri answered all my questions with expertise, they finished early and on budget, they cleaned up after themselves daily, they were punctual, courteous and a pleasure to have in our home. They made, what could have easily been a stressful experience, smooth and painless with a beautiful end result.

He began the install the following week. He was very friendly and personable throughout the process, answered all my questions and concerns. Dimitri and his crew installed a complete high end Queen Street West retail & service floor, 2 corporate bathrooms, 2 high end residential bathrooms and a fabulous kitchen & kitchenette backsplash. They returned multiple times during the phased construction and were professional, speedy and cheerful. Their suggestions for where certain tiles should start or end, or how they met the wall or the hardwood were always correct. The price was fair and more importantly, their work was top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend them over and over and would use them on all future jobs.
